Open House

I love open house at the school where I teach.  It is like having an art show.  It's important to me that everyone has artwork hanging up.  They bring their families and they seem so proud of what they have done.  I love that.  It is a joy to work with students that are truly talented but I also enjoy watching students who come into art thinking they cannot create anything and watch them beam as they realize they can create pieces that they are pleased with. They are surprised at what they can do.  There is so much creative potential in all of us that just needs to be drawn out.  We are created to create!
This is a painting by one of my seniors.  She is majoring in art next year!
This is a painting by my daughter.  She is also a senior this year.
This is a foil relief by a high school student.
There are flower paintings created by my junior high students.
