Marc Chagall
This past week I took my junior high art classes to the Kimbell Art Museum to see a very special exhibit there titled The Age Of Picasso and Matisse from the Art institute of Chicago. I was astounded when I saw two paintings I had dreamed of seeing one day. They are both by Marc Chagall and I had no idea they were part of the exhibit! I actually included them in a drawing I did a few years back of one of my students. I placed her in a museum setting with these two paintings. The one behind her is The Praying Jew and the other one is the White Crucifixtion. Our docent did not take our group by them but I go back this week with my high school classes and I have requested that all our groups are taken by them. Wow! The exhibit is here only for two more weeks. I am so thankful I made it there and so thankful I am able to share the experience with my students.
