The Boy In The Striped Pajamas

I watched The Boy In The Striped Pajamas last night with my family, a movie about an eight year old boy who becomes friends with another eight year old boy who is in a concentration camp. They talk between an electric wire fence.  I have not seen a movie that kept me totally enthralled the entire story like that in a very long time.  From an artistic point of view, it was top notch.  It meets you in the deep places of the heart.  That is what a powerful story does.  Each character was developed just enough to carry the story forward.

And then there is the important fact never to be forgotten from that terrible time in history:

                                All life is precious and worthy of love and respect;

                               You must be true to your conscience and to God first before your
                                 loyalty to a man, an organization, or even a country.
